yesterdays
when wind whipped hair
whitened
beneath the summer sun
i remember one
a high spirited girl
loving life when life was fun
we were always on the run
too giddy to reflect on days
made up of hours
and our youthful ways
i remember your skin
puckering in the evening breeze
hot flesh
firmly strung
we played
how you'd tease
our childhood voices echoing
throughout the neighbourhood
when life was good
when we were young
i remember you
please say you remember me
cotton-tee shirts
dirty knees
i breathed you in
tasted your tongue
hidden deep within
the shade of trees
back when we were young
when we were young

This has that carefree feel of youth...a longing to relive those days...I feel it. You bring the reader back into this memory and make us yearn right along with you. Enjoyed reading. Thanks for your entry
