Brown shoes stitched together
With the local leather
Old brown shoes
Will quite possibly live forever
The stitching cotton threads
Entrusted handmade soles
With wavy treads
And worn semicircular holes
Buckles made of old fashioned
Copper weather worn iron laws

I like this; it has a nursery rhyme kind of promise or dare I say, wisdom, to it and I always think of shoes as a metaphor for poems.

This is a great piece, you delved into the shoe with great vigour and came out with something wonderfully unique. Best to you in the contest
