Dream Catcher ( Gold )

Spun webbing pure as silk

delicate a weave woven

creative art

master its piece.

Pearls of dew rest easy

within the rising of the dawn

breaks the newness of the day

upon the mist of the morning.

Suspended

my chain of life

finds balance

for this my night work is done.

Scurry not

for I am the catcher

holding a dream

in slumber as you sleep.

Lovely lacey, filligree feel to this poem. Softly it draws you in to the web without letting you sense danger until it's too late! Well wordcrafted!

    Wow

Simply beautiful. My favorite were the last two stanzas though! But the entire poem was really amazing. And I love the background. And just in case you are wondering, yes, I am still amazed. Haha. Great work

chills.....ok, I have to admit that some spiders weave the most beautiful webs. And not all spiders are ugly. Some are stunning, but all give me the heebie jeebies. This, however, is a beautifully written piece! Thanks for entering my contest. I'm honored.

Way to go, Julie---Sensual, delicate, beautiful!
Beautiful picture and your take on it is equally beautiful.
This reminds me of our "Aard Vark" conversation!
Best of luck in the contest!

this is absolutely amazing Mum.. Your words paint a picture all of their own. even though I don't like spiders, in fact I can't stand them, you make them sound appealing and nice..

good luck in the contest Mum
