The Silence it was so deafening to me.
The volume alone could break glass.
The sound of it was so overpowering to my senses.
That nothing else could come through
only this silence could I hear.
A sound so deafening,
was this silence
that it sought to drown out
the past. Only to fail.
I am so tired
so very tired
of always submitting
to all that I fear.
It is time
that I fight back
hear other things
experience other sounds.
Live other ways.

That kind of silence is hard on the mind.
It breakes you down and takes over.
I've heard it befor. Long ago.

The mind
How tempting it is to cast a dark shadow on ourselves. The silence that echos deep inside and there is no one to seem to care. Others ways? I do hope dear poet.
