Chrissy only seven,
Hurting from pain,
Irritated daily, by daddy's little game.
Lying the floor, sobbing blue stained tears,
Denying all the pain, no crying out in fear.
Amanda's ten and getting old
Ben is only five.
Useless beatings ever day, teachers hear their lies.
Stiches may be needed, Amanda has been bad,
Every dream of happiness gone, mom is steaming mad.
these are not the only stories
so many to be told,
so many children hurting
so many hurting souls
stop the pain
and stop the strife
please stop beating
your child tonight

Hard topic to write about, very sad poem. Thank you for entering the contest, good luck.

Good Try!
Your dramatic exposition of child abuse is strong and vivid, but your ending plea for the abusers to stop is blowing in the wind, quite simply unrealistic.

a great poem I think your poem is very deep and emotionally powerful and I agree with the other commenters that thier is something missing thank you for entering the contest and good luck in the contest

I like this one. It's good but it need something, I just can't place it. It seems to come to an end to quickly. I like it, it's just missing something.

I like this a lot. But for some reason, to me, it just seems unfinished. Like it's just two instances or whatever and then it just ends like an abrupt cliff. I still like it and all, I just think you could add some and make it even better.
