Is this my lineage
from bones into ash?
O Daddy, my savior,
I remember your laugh.
A sidious thing it is
filled with scurrilous vile,
hid behind dark glasses
and a blackened smile.
I am a broken shell;
you taught my fore-self
to hate everyone else and
to fear even myself.
O Daddy, my savior,
what do you bear now,
a tenebrous house so empty,
a father/husband's broken vow?
You liar, you thief,
unbothered by our grief.
you curse and you howl,
you beast on the prowl.
You wolf at the table,
you're a devil in diguise.
you create infinite sorrow.
you pull hate over my eyes.
The cross and the Bible
are weapons you wield.
"prophet" you slay me,
though my pen is my shield.
I may hate you and piss you,
deficate you from my mind.
I just wish you, o Daddy,
to be a savior who is kind.
Though flowers grow in me
you're the weed, choke me out.
by creating my morass,
you fill me with doubt.
I swim away, Riptide,
you cannot pull me down again.
I am not your scion.
I will not be who you've been.

Excellent use of metaphors, again with sharp images and deep emotions. Wonderful poetry my friend, I want to read more.
Bravo!

Wow, that was amazing. Every word, every line was so full of emotion. The lines
"The cross and the Bible
are weapons you wield.
"prophet" you slay me,
though my pen is my shield."
are just superb, the metaphors are spectacular. Overall, the whole poem almost seems to scream itself out there. I really loved reading this.
