Dare To Dream

Visions of reflected dreams,
the dancer has much regret,
yesterday's love and sorrow,
not so easy to forget.

Have faith within ourselves,
dream on, keep hope alive,
don't let the child in you die,
hold tight, you will survive.

Not all dreams come to pass,
they lie beyond our touch,
push us forward in despair,
give hope we need so much.

Relections of what we were,
and what may have been,
don't let dreams fade away,
find the child within.

More than hope, dreams let us soar and dare the impossible. You have touched so sweetly upon one of the things that makes us so human and yet resonates so much with the spirit within us. Beautifully done.
    Love, Tom B.

Nice prompt and poem to compliment each other. Life has its share of regret, but, hope and dreams hold the magic of the child who watches the sun on the horizon to bless all the wonders of day that have passed away. The wine of life is sweeter the longer it ages. The misfortunes are diluted by the joy friends and family share to warm hearts with smiles and hugs.

    loved this poem!
find the child within...and for too many that is the
pain...childhoods that did not reflect a fathers
    loving embrace....

I actually had to be convinced, that the gift of
forgive-ness is truly a presence you give yourself.
Father God, WILL ME ...to forgive!
    and mightily..tearfully...and joyously...
he did! (even my Dad says ...I just don't understand
    how you can...my reply..me either, DAD..it's just
the way it is! then we laugh and go have coffee and
    pie!
