Writing

Do you write what's awkward or what's easy?
I write to remember.
Captured vibrance on a page.
Repeated to you for prosperity
Perspiration isn't always enough.
Moments need to be held.
As you capture them, they stretch distorted
A weak shadow of themselves.
Falling towards that distance between now and then.
We live forever in past successes and mistakes.
The future is indistinct.
An infinite list of possibilities
Not enough of them good.

    A simple poem. Very nice. Not as dark or insightful as your others. But it makes you think...makes you wonder why you write. It gave me an idea...maybe you'll collaborate a bit w/ me?
