Long Bay Break

Just had a long vacation
No techies, no nothing, just myself
Doing nothin’ but reflection
Day and night, night and day
Since the twelfth.

Across my mind scenes flashed
Containin’ the ups and downs of the past
The highs and lows, the full, the scratch
And those that ended nd those that last.

All of these filled up my mind
Until suddenly you came, in time,
That I awakened, yes I was dreamin,
Of having you, of lovin’.

Then I came to realize you were gone
Just like the footprints awashed in the sand
And vanished like bubbles in the water
And ended like my last vacation’s supper.

    Such a sad ending

I like the poem though. Well written

I like this! Although it's rhyming, and the wording is not the most formal, it speaks to me... I especially like the meter of the first stanza. Great job!

    true

it's true that when you're on vacation and have time to reflect and think about things that just about anything and anyone can pop into your thoughts...very well written work...i enjoyed it!
