I thought I saw a puppy dog
Peeking out at me
The cutest little puppy dog
That I’d ever hope to see
He seemed to smile as he looked
His eyes twinkling in delight
This mighty little dog, you see
Wasn’t looking for a fight
He just wanted to be petted
To feel a loving caress
To know that he would always be
The bestest of the best
