Later On

Letting go is~

an unfinished symphony
a storm about to cease
a time without end
untimely demise.

Goodbye is~

a song without voice
sun behind cloud
friends lost in an
unapproachable crowd.

But this season will~

bring a thought inside
my heart for you in prayer
anxious to see you  again
so please, friend... be there.

Author notes

Though I do not know you well, I know the concept.
I hope that it will be a worthwhile endeavor. Sorry if you've
been hurt. I know we all have!
You are important.

As usual, you have written with your heart and succeeded in conveying feeling and mood. I love this poem, but the killer line is the last one. THAT moved me greatly. So much need and yearning to know that we are loved.

What a beautiful way to say,"you'll be missed". For indeed, absence does leave voids unfulfilled without end.

You are a treasure Cookie... and I admire you greatly (for many reasons).
This is very sweet of you, beautiful and from the heart.
    You're awesome.

    This poem

conveys images so well known to us all, both from the point of view of the 'teller' and the 'receiver'. The images are soft and sincere, telling the reader of an 'understanding' both now and then in time. Your poem portrays that you have bridged the divide - a welcome message to know that one is never alone - that there is one that will do as she says: "my heart for you in prayer ... so please ... be there."
