Bought wisdom in darkness from an immortal dream
under west bridge in shadows and caps,
looking, seeing, not understanding a single mortal
who walked in joyous colors besides black,
I walk in tart, bland thoughts inside the black crow
a black crow is immortal wisdom under west bridge,
he drew a cane and struck me over and over, again
until stars and death neared my vision into white lights.
I'm finding, longing, seeing, yes seeing death, by this wise crow
as his ragged voice drags you to a lucid state,
all beneath the cobble-stone roads, by waters flow,
wisdom to see inside the white life of death, just to know
to know your colorful life ends and finds misery, too
beside and in the hands of the black crow, he's coming
all knowing you will also fall to earth's ending,
under the grounds so cold, we flaunt our last day.
Author notes
A) Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.

jaded teardrop
that is really good... it's almost like edger allan poe, or whatever his name was... it was kinda creepy, but really good too. my favorite part was the first stanza i think... it was deep and really brought the tone out in your writting.... well done, and good luck in the contest...

wow this is almost like scary story. Very Poe like *phew* I will watch my back for those crows

I will admit, some lines were slightly harder to follow, but perhaps you did this for a more mysterious/spooky effect. Nice job
Thanks for entering and good luck
