I have these things
Bad things, hidden things
Things I never want anyone to see
But you do
No matter how much I try to hide
You root around, you dig, you search
You see the truth-- and that's scary!
I sometimes wish you'd stop being able
To read my mind with such unstoppable skill
Maybe then I could living in the dirt of my mistakes
Because climbing out of this hole
After you've clearly pointed I've been living in one
Is a dirty and exhausting task I'm not always up to performing
But I really wouldn't have it any other way
You must love me if you're willing to climb out there
And tell me what I do not want to hear,
Risking our friendship and your reputation, risking a fight
To keep me from living in this hole
Because you see in me better things.

I love this poem. You speak to so many people, people like me who have been through and witnessed so many things in there life that they are trying to hide it and yet there's always this one person who can see right through you and can see the torture in your soul and the pain in your eyes! You did an amazing job.

wow, you really have a talent for makeing your words fly off the page. you make your reader think, and want to hear more, which is a very good quality to have. id say this poem really dose portray how hard it is to keep a secret, no matter how small, from some one you love, and knowing it will be even harder once they find out. great job!!

Wow this is a good write.. I really do like it, you talk about all those things that friends do.. No matter what you try and hide they manage to find out.. The fact that they r there even when you have hurt them it what friendship is all about.. Good work..
