God, grant me serenity
To accept the things I can not change
The courage to change the things I can
And the wisdom to know the difference
Lost is my identity
In the chaos and trouble
I am a nonentity
Hiding inside this bubble
God, grant me serenity
My life I would now gladly exchange
My thoughts are chaotic at the best
Many things I wish to rearrange
But I must instead accept this quest
To accept the things I can not change
There will come a time in my life when
I need to stand up to win the fight
This time will come every now and then
And the thing that will make it alright?
The courage to change the things I can.
In each battle there is a difference
A way to fight and a way to lose
I'll show neither tactic indifference
Because I have this new choice to choose
And the wisdom to know the difference
