Piano

Missing image

Rousing the keys
with her left fingertips,
she reclined in conversation
with her dearest.

They caressed
each other’s fingers,
and made melodies
from questions and
personified emotions.

She teased the mono-board;
muttered her misdemeanours
and giggled at the response.

She spent so many hours
conversing with
the skipping notes,

that she got lost
in their air and amity
and began to

mirror the ivories.

Interesting. This seemed a bit abrupt at the end. It could have also delved deeper, but it's good at the level it is. Anyway, the flow was great. Thank you for entering and good luck.

I get the distinct impression that you weren't finished with this. Not that you mean to continue revisions, since you say as much - but that you started writing, and got interrupted, and never finished the piece. I normally don't recommend a piece be longer than it is, but I think this one merits a bit more exploration. What you have is gorgeous, but feels like an introduction to the stanzas that I wish came next.
