Leaves floated down,
running around town
feel of fall everywhere,
Season, I’m not prepared,
Warmth of summer nights,
grabbing a quick bite
drive along the seashore.
Are memories in a drawer.
Autumn nights are longer,
rain and winds are stronger.
My heart remembers yesterday,
the walk we took at the bay
Walking hand and hand
music played at the bandstand.
Now leaves are dancing,
cold weather is advancing.
Yesterday is just a memory,
when I was in my glory
you were here beside me,
I was young and carefree…
