The wind today sings a powerful song,
A classic love struck tragedy,
But this song has a twist.
There is no death, and no soul mates,
Just earth and sky, forever bonded.
They used to sing a song of joy,
Of good things sure to come,
But now disaster's struck this land,
And all that's sung is sad.
Disaster was the human race,
With blood stained hands, and dirtied souls,
We populate the land.
No peace here, just war and hate,
Forever now, a sorrowful song,
Until the day we learn to love.

This is... beautiful. Graceful in a sense. Perfection. I loved it. Keep it up!

I liked it but I think it needs some fine tuning in some areas. I suggest looking through it and doing a bit of editting. keep writing.

Awesome message and a great poem.
The ending fits perfect, and because it isn't another typical love story/poem it has a special kind of creativity to it.
I was expecting written metaphor about love between two people rather than the nature/spiritual content.
It would also make for an interesting tattoo, definately original. Too many cliche tattoo's and too many ordinary tattoo's.
Very creative and original.

Love it!
From the first few words I was expecting a love poem and was pleasantly surprised with a poem bringing the much needed awareness of the sad dilemma of our world and its need for peace. Your ending was genius.

what a nice turn of phrase, sort of, to tie what one normally associates with humans to the relationship between the earth and the human race in general. fitting use of green text as well. here's to hoping everyone learns to respect the earth more.
best wishes

Amen to this
Indeed we speak of wanting things to get better then the very next day we hear just the opposite .Oh I so hope one day we can forget the material things and know life is not anything without love and not oone material thing could ever take its place once love is gone
