A Somewhat Poetic Journal Entry

I'd spent many years
coping with life's harshest lesson.
It seemed to be so pointless
with nothing true to gain.

Upon examination
of this seemingly morose statement.
I realize that I've nothing to lose
and life's value depends on what I assign it.

Surrounding myself in the essence of peotry
living a new life of "chaos" and freedom.
I've been so wrong for the way I'd lived
observing others not getting myself.

My self reliance is finally building
I don't seem to want with greed.

The hardest part is waking up
to realize what you've become.
To find that you are further back
from where you were before.

Options may destroy themselves
but I should be thankful and greatful.
We always manage to have
a second chance at life.

I want tr try to avoid my anger
because it gives me a flse illusion of control.
Why do I want to change others
to help them "see things my way."

I often try to govern
saving people from themselves.
Knowing that I learned these lessons
through times of trial and error.

People are ment to live their lives
with their own paths of perception.
Right or wrong I may have been
but I am moving on.
