walking in the rain

The splish splash of water
as it hits the ground
comforts me.

I enjoy walking in the rain
you wanna know why
it is because I can cry
and you will never see my tears.

Tears that run down my cheeks
are mingled with hundreds
of thousands of other droplets
of water.

I can share my pain
with the rain
she comforts me.

But tonight
I will send another
into her waiting embrace
for tonight
I have windows to open
thoughts to share.
