I can crawl and hide in his affection
I know I’m safe and warm
Yet I feel almost bewildered
And some times all forlorn
His demands are not on show
He’s wise and oh so dear
My selfishness to just be me
He excepts and lends an ear
I’m cocooned inside his friendship
In a place I’ve never known
He’s a peaceful river flowing
He’s a place you can call home
I know they’ll be no other
And as I live beneath his cape
He’s reason, father, brother
He’s my love he’s my escape.

This is very touching. I know how wanting to crawl and hide feels, I wrote a write that was similar for my boyfriend.
Loved the line "I’m cocooned inside his friendship."
Thanks for entering.
