Water droplets fall from the clouds,
pounding into my sensitive skin,
mixing with the rhythm of my heart beat.
"Put one foot in front of the other,
.just keep walking.just keep moving.
You have no time to slow down."
The rain drops sting my burning flesh,
making my exposed skin a deep red,
and reopening my now bleeding scars.
Silent, salty tears fall from my lost eyes,
dripping down my chapped cheeks,
as the wind sends shivers down my spine.
"Its okay to cry, just let it all out,
nobody can see the tears anyway,
they just fastly collide with the rain."
The past, present, and future invade me,
as they eat away at my dieing heart,
and steal the breath from my lungs.
Thunder roars in the near distance,
as lightening almost strikes a tree;
rain still pouring over my soaked body.
