This dilapidated feeling of self resolve
Eats away at everything I've ever felt before.
Always hungry; looking for something more.
(A repulsive feeling:
letting me know I've failed.)
(That corrosive being:
feeding off my every word.)
The machine is breaking,
This machine is breaking down.
Every piece is wearing,
Every piece is wearing out.
Melpomene, how could you put this burden on me?
Your song is killing me, write me out. - (If this what you're all about.)
I never asked to be your puppet. - (Building me up just to tear me down.)
I beg for you to find someone else. - (Is this what you're all about?)
I don't want to be the hero anymore. - (Building me up just to tear me down)
(A repulsive feeling:
letting me know I've failed.)
(That corrosive being:
feeding off my every word.)
The machine is breaking,
This machine is breaking down.
Every piece is wearing,
Every piece is wearing out.

Author notes
I wrote this a while ago and forgot to add it. I just felt very overwhelmed after I lost my job and at the time my girlfriend was acting weird and I just felt useless and used. Plus, at the time I was bored and decided to look up greek mythology and it all came together into this.
