Like a shadow in the mist
he has taken what he wants
the cards have been dealt
his eyes allure with taunts
A hand full of hearts
from the man all in black
as he rocked you to your marrow
now you have met the jack
Stripping you of all petals
and all you thought was right
he consumed you in all glory
left you naked in the night
Queen of hearts
you thought was your place
but the jack told you different
and left you in disgrace
Shots are fired
the hands have been laid
there’s a tear in your eyes
for the jack has been made
He gets up to leave the table
the crowd is silent in awe
and the honeys at the bar
are scratching with a claw
Darkness of the shadow
a face that no one knows
leaves the room and walks right out
the jack of hearts is all that shows
