can't you hear me
I'm purring softly in your ear.
How I love thee
can't you see
I come to you
whenever you come home.
Let you pick me up
and get rid of all that tension
you have
from work.

can't you understand
I'd rather be lying around
being lazy
but instead
I get up out of my nice
warm blanket
and I rub against your leg
I wait patiently til I am picked up
and you then get busy
and rub my belly.

I love this piece. Love the picture. I am a cat lover so anything written about cats will catch my attention. You did a beautiful job of actually putting words into the kitty's mouth. Sounds like what the cat would say. An oldie but one that one a gold, congrats.
