The games we played when I was young
Looking back, I had so much fun
When my cousins and me got together
We played for hours no matter the weather
Bimbo, Corkey, Timmy and Netra too
Together we always found things to do
Mother may I, we liked to play
Red Rover was a favorite in those days
Dodge ball and kick ball we played a lot
At least until the ball got popped
Frozen catchers gave us hours of pleasure
Red light, green light we’d play at leisure
But hide and seek we played the most
In the evening at dust, we’d pick our host
While they counted, off we would run
Waiting and giggling, we had so much fun
I like to relax and think of way back then
Just close my eyes and let the memories begin

Playing games with friend's is such an important part of growing up. Some kids don't get to do that much these days. This is a great poem filled with happy memories of the fun you had with friends. Thanks so much for entering.
