In the passing of all things, the
earth hold her secrets near. Both
man and animal last only a little
while, in relevance to all things.
What man builds of his hands, lasts
longer than he, yet disappears, leaving
only a few trails of the evident existence,
as centuries cover over all
traces with layers of
dirt and sod.
Forests of heavy timber, are cleared
away in the name of progress. Crops
are planted with lush vegetations that
are harvested to sustain life through
dormant periods of life cycles. Hand
skills are adapted to create the most
important necessities of life. Learning
becomes imperative, as man increases
his knowledge of the world around him.
Cities and habitations are built as life
begins to flourish.
But what man has failed to understand,
is all things will perish, even a way
of life,... leaving him vulnerable to
losing his identity,.....once again,
to the
~secretive earth.~
