It falls like blessings from above
in generous God-given waves
like rain or sunshine...free to every soul
and earth holds and turns to green
and greens to flower gold in harvest...
and I believe, for it seems...
only little men believe in trickles.

Nice to see such grand faith and Reaganomics in the same poem!
Although, I feel your little jab at the end. At the same time, I must give due diligence and not fail to acknowledge the prolific self-exaltation of the last line as well.
I'm teasing, of course, but, seriously...
I am reminded about the lilies of the field and how they don't toil or snare and yet are more lovely than King Solomon in all his splendor. The provision you have described and the beauteous results you have articulated can only come from above, and do indeed lift all.
Technically speaking, I love the way "for I believe, for it seems" is set off to itself. It MUST be, and yet a less keen poet may have failed to give such a phrase its proper position of import. Nice. Also you used the ellipsis well to bring the right pause just before that final line of impact. Also, just right. You stopped the flow (in a good way) and slowed the poem down so that last line is totally soaked in by your reader. Excellent stuff!
Deep and wide...

Reagan was old enough to have remembered the original trickle down of Pres. Harding and the great depression, I always wondered how he could have even considered such a notion. Oh well, we also didn't need 8000 new nukes...go figure...thanks for all...PK

I absolutely love the last line. My brother once said that he walks beneath an open Heaven. I do as well, and so does everyone who will accept that fact. It reminds me of a theatrical saying; "There are no small roles in a play, but there can be small-minded actors."
Your measure of wealth is the same as mine. I know 'John 14:2', and understand my just reward awaits me after I have finished my job here on Earth.
You have written volumes here with very few words. Thank you for this entry and I wish you well in the challenge.
Much Love & Respect ♥

Many blessings from above... we only have to accept. Loved the sense of seasons, of the circle of life in this one, PK - I too believe...

Cool theme here on how God has given all of us the showers of it not just a certain privilege few. It is that thought of not good enough which keeps us in lack.
all the best,
