Now there is nothing to fear
if you know about that escape codicil
in the scripture rules,
one minor prophesy often neglected
about those spared in Petra’s lair,
as Edom’s deeded soil of provision,
where any one is given a place to hide
before the blood starts flowing
and plagues start slaying.
For among the red rocks
of Petra’s Jordan domain,
shall one happily thrive and stay alive’
during all a hideous hell.
So I shall stock up on supplies
to hide there somewhere safe,
still working on web site,
“Armageddon Acres. com.”
While I work out the details,
these are moments of pure disguise,
keeping a low profile,
rendering coverts for my Petra cult
who pass my, “I’ll believe anything” test.
Still searching for be satellite options
for watching the end of the world
on wide screen television
while munching on pop tarts
along with a keg of icy cold beer.
How much fun it will be
when I finish my plot and plans
before scurrying off by one way ticket,
meanwhile playing nice with all the doomed,
in case one or two amusements enough
so I can offer them a little tribulation survival room.

Lots of folks point to Petra as the place of refuge prophesied, but you gotta wonder how that works now that there are planes and helicopters and everybody knows it's there.
Come the rapture, maybe all the aircraft will be grounded and all those who know now will be gone. Or maybe we just don't have it all figured out yet...
Whether biblical or merely historical when society crumbles you can bet as you have here, somebody will be working on a way to make a buck out of it!
