Remembering When

Missing image

clouds descend low in sorrow's sky
carrying with them, my spirit,
radiance once anchored by joy
fades dim upon drowning waters,

absence of you near me
submerges heart deep in grief,
my empty arms hang hollow
as tears drift absently into nowhere,

keeping company with solitude
feeling so alone in this storm,
memory surges against agony
and tears sting like pouring rain,

my lone touch of blue sky
shines in minds' glimpse~
                                    remembering when.

    Gorgeous imagery and such heart felt emotion. Memories cause pain but can also bring joy. Storms are hard to bare alone when you're in the middle of it. Hopefully your memories bring more joy than pain and your stormy nights are accompanied by anothers loving protection.

    Oh my how sad this is What a totally awesome piece! I picked a few parts I liked the most, but as I kept reading I decided that one part lost impact without the rest!(mind you, I did love'keeping company with solitude' This is just stunning!
