floating
past old daydreams
that drift with life’s currents,
tide departs with flotsam’s heartbreak,
sailing
close to shoreline,
beckons horizon’s hope
for further journeys past the reefs,
waiting
for autumn’s moon
to shed light upon waves
that continue to curl and froth,
calling
