Lies

Lies are told to me
befallen on my head
Like red lipstick kisses
stuck to a crisp white shirt

How can I love you
when you love another
your words are priceless
because they aren't true

They are what I want to hear
lies from you to me

Why do we love the beautiful lies instead of the harsh truth?

That's the question I got from the piece so well done with writing this

I guess, we admire what the words people say that we think is true but when we find out that they lie about that, you feel, hmm, betrayed.

For a simple write, the theme is quite deeper than I thought!

So, yes, nicely penned, all in all
