Winds of hope

the wind blows
thoughts that twist and twirl;
emptiness becomes feeling, lost

alike the leaves
that toss and turn
and settle, scattered -
the soul seeks peace

lost within self, a seed gathers
far from its bloom

an understanding, nestled
in the arms of knowing

even winds of destruction
provide hope

    Lovely Words

Good morning Frans, You always write such beautiful poetry to fill the reader's senses. It feels as soft as the wind you write about.
Yes we can find hope even in the smallest seed. We just need look with open eyes and have faith. What a lovely poem to read this Sunday morning. I do hope all has been well with you. Bless you and your family.

    Take care,
    Sandy

    Wow!

This is heart penetrating & profound! I love the metaphor & the mental images your words present. Winds ~ thoughts, leaves ~ peace, seed ~ bloom....

    And this beautiful line:

    an understanding, nestled
    in the arms of knowing

    followed by your ending:

    even winds of destruction
    provide hope

This write resonates deeply within me because of personal experience! Bravo Frans....another fantastic write!

In California we were plagued by forest fires this summer (and that is not an unusual event) and while the devastation is vast it is part of nature's plan of renewal. Sometimes the debris must be eliminated so that fresh seeds can germinate. There is a wonderful symmetry to the grand design and you have captured its hopeful elements in this poem. Peace, Liz

Hope is everywhere if you seek it that way, only shadows prevent us from seeing it
