A bright smile
Hidden by flowing tears
Like a clear summer day
Hidden by the clouds
An echoing sob
Stifled at the chance of freedom
A tiny slit
And a new horizon
A piercing shriek
Drops of blood decorating a cold tile floor
A falling body
And a resounding clatter
And time freezes
A second chance, perhaps?
But she lays pale, motionless
And yet, the world goes on.
