South Carolina-1985.
My birth was bittersweet;
A mistake unearthed and still breathing.
Eyes opened to lust and slandered innocence-
Early.
Molested by time and raped by inclinations
Fingers pointed, into the face of uncool.
Hand-me-downs and three brothers to care for
Left no time for the outside that beckoned.
It finally grabbed me, forcing me to escape;
Eighteen taught lessons in love 'em and leave 'em
Bright sunshine wakes me on a Florida morning....
Bus rides and long walks on dimly lit roads after class,
Stalked and followed....
Leads me to this life and time at age twenty-three
The saga continues

A short summary of such a powerful life. The imagery was wonderul, and the form was perfect.
I also live in Florida, by the way
.
My favorite part was: " Molested by time and raped by inclinations
Fingers pointed, into the face of uncool."
Very well done!
