Like I'll never belong
Even though I know
You really don't mean it
And you're just like the lies
That fill the hollow gaps
But eventually everything
Will start to rot away
And you're the black
That completes my white
If only I could tell you
It's a perfect combination
And you're the perfect chance
I never seem to get
So whisper in my ear
When the opportunity comes
And you're the nervous system
I never had before
So tell me when I'm in pain
Because I can't feel anymore
And you're my current muse
Since I've lost my last one
So tell me that I'm great
And give me a little inspiration
And you're really not my type
Yet you still catch my eye
I really should ignore this
But what's a "type" now, anyway?
And you're so different from me
It's a whole other spectrum
I've got my rainbows
And you've got your shadows
And you're never going to know
Because I'm never going to tell
And you'll only find out
If you find the way in
Author notes
Lyrics used in first two lines of first stanza, "She said, She said" The Beatles.
Dec. 24, 2008: Going back and reading this for like, the 30th time, I realized that every stanza started with "And You're..." Did anyone else notice that, or was it just me? Now, notice the title. It's one of those, oh, what's it called? Anagrams? Hm...
Well, anyway, I have a few more like this. I even have a few that use 'labyrinth' in them. Just to let you know, that word, along with Tyranny, relate to the same person. This would be the first installment, I suppose you could call it.
