Sighing despondently
she cries acid rain onto her barren cheeks
as we torture her slowly and painfully
And she, opening her mouth to speak,
finds that she knows not how
For we have destroyed her healing voice
And knowing only death
she unwillingly bestows upon us the same
This is how Mother Nature and her children
Kill one another in harmony

This was sort of a free write.. I just wanted to write something short for once.
Please tell me what you think

Well it is a very strong short write for sure! You got your point across, though it is the sad truth...the torture of our environment is getting out of hand and we still find new ways to add to that torture. And I admit, I am not innocent
but I try.
This is dark in its own sort of way...it is described perfectly and then summed up in the last 2 lines.
You're an amazing writer and this is an amazing write!

ECO?
I am suddenly reminded of that TA song "It's a Beautiful World". If you didn't put the last two lines into the piece, it would have been very nicely subtle, and even abstract. I particularly liked the first four lines. Good stuff!

Frickin' eerie!!
When confronted with pain we can tend to respond in two way. There is the self blame aproach which offers us the oppurtunity to grow from our experience and act upon what we have learnt; and there is the blame every-one else aproach and add to the cycles of suffering which seem to be ravaging any potential for natural contentment that we are capable of achieving, denying ourselves of personal growth... becoming solid with judgemental certainty. This leads to dis-ease. We can be an action to suffering or a reaction.
It is almost like the ways of the modern world are designed to corrupt our essence by perverting our sense of reality with destructive and oppressive fears. In ture we tend to blame god. When stripped of illusion all that is left is the beauty of nature... all the fruits creation has offered us... the power of possitive thought. Don't be a neggative reaction; be a possitive action

That is just so true. I hope that more and more people start to see things in that light, so that this planet doesn't have to go to the garbage... again. It just takes time for people to .. remember things.
Thank you for your comment.
