My mind is like a cracked mirror. Sharp, dazzling, dangerous but fundamentally broken! Each piece is shattering further with each realisation of my insignificance to you.
Don't you see me? Hiding behind a wall of icy, fiery anger; fueled by fear. All I want is not to be alone but all I fear is being close to you, because each time I've tried to get close before I've been hurt. But, maybe you're worth that risk. Maybe you are worth the risk in the hope of something better.

I can see this as inspiration for something much bigger to come, but still the initail similie was very nice and I enjoyed reading it.
I liked the way it sounds in my head. -
short, but sharp and raw. i really enjoyed this piece. (and can relate!) i love the line, "hiding behind a wall of icy, fiery anger..." great write!
