they say they want good men
well, there is no blame for that
but why they choose these ruffians
says more to the matter of fact
true
they say they want a pleasing man
but that is such a lie
what they really, really want
is a man pleasing to their eyes
and yes, women, men know this
so they treat you as they do
but you don't understand
because you wouldn't behave
the way you do
women, you utterly kill me
with this distortion of truth
and you wont realize
until you've lost your use
and then you search frantically
for a man of outstanding stature
but he has long since outgrown your type
you're simply not what he's after
then you grow wiser, but bitter
you camouflage your shame
and due to YOUR terrible choices
you say ALL men are the same
then innocent young ladies hear that
a countless number of times
from countless women like you
that nourish them to be blind
now the cycle is renewed
and THEY think all men are the same
so they try to pick the prettiest of these
the ones that may bring them fame
not caring that he doesn't cherish her
respect her, and befriend her
she is simply content
to be bedridden with a pretender
So,
many good men go alone in their journey
with no one but themselves to console
because they are not that beautiful...
not as beautiful as their souls

ah ok
I think both sexes are guilty of the same sin, living with a bad choice, not thinking you deserve better, not looking under the skin, just look at the number of dysfunctional relationships that exist, but sometime, you luck out, more often when you are older, not as seduced by the package as you might have been, that you begin to, believe that love and being loved is possible all over again, that you are worthy, that someone could love you for who you are not what you look like. but love is often wasted on youth, that is what I though about when I read your poem, if I missed the point I am sorry, also I had to remove
the background to read thepoem excellent words covered up by clutter
Namaste my friend hope I did not offend you it was not my intent -
