The Soul

What do you see when you look into my eyes
love hope sadness
the confusion
when you look into my eyes it feels as if you can look into my soul
the soul that is tormented in many ways
the soul that screams to let the feelings out
and let the true pperson shine
the soul that is locked away in a box
not to be seen by any one
So when you look into my eyes do you see the soul or
the black box hiding it.

Very expressive with truth that we can all relate to at one time or another. Keep it just as it is.

I like this poem alot.... maybe combine the second and third line together. then maybe line 6 instead of saying the soul, just start it with "It screams to let the feelings out, and the true person shine"... and then maybe, the last two lines, say... "So when you look into my eyes, what do you see? The soul or the black box hiding it?

But all in all a very well written piece, keep up the great work!!!

Eyes are the wellsprings of the soul.

Limpid pools of emptiness gather drops from the stalactites of your mind. The caverns echo with the insanities of misunderstanding as I wander in search for a shadow to wear. A lamp of mindful ways searches the dark for the sanctuary of soulled surrender. I seek the chest, that holds the heart in which beats eternal torment. With golden key, I turn the rusted lock to open the box of night to once again release the fairy of hope into the world.
