I know one should be counting 5-7-5 hyouon moji instead of syllables, but I have neither the knowledge of Japanese linguistics nor the time and patience to do so.

Form has never been my strength anyway.

uhhhh.... I don't know what your accent sounds like (so I was trying to do a British accent while reading this), but to me, there's only 4 syllables in the first line.

I like it though. It made me laugh.

It does depend on which British accent you were trying to use. I have an RP (Received Pronunciation) accent. So it's pronounced something like (I suck at phonetics BTW):

      FEY-all

It probably is pushing it a bit even the way I say it. But meh

RP eh...not heard that term used since Uni (my degree was Linguistics). You're posh then?

The poem, as that's why I'm here, made me smile. x

"Posh? Oh yes!" he says with long, unkempt hair and wearing yesterday's t-shirt and jeans.

In tone, perhaps; but not in nature
