Silent Speaker

A soul cannot see harmony within,

until the fleshy eyes are rendered

blind to all illusions.

A soul cannot hear the whisper of truth,

until its fleshy ears are rendered;

deaf to all intrusions.

Before a soul can comprehend and remember,

it must unite the flesh;

with the silent speaker.

Clay is modelled with the potters mind,

therefore wisdom is in the womb;

of the seeker.

    8 lines limit ... please edit ...

    thank you so much for your beautiful verse in response to the prompt ... your approach is very feminine and concrete, not denying the manifest world and its impermanent reality - in contrast to the more masculine way of abstract conceptualization ...

    the prompt itself springs from extreme subtility, an almost intangible reality of who we really are in our innermost essence ... inviting "soul" to dissolve within the vast space of formless consciousness, the source of all manifestation, yet free from it ...

    I love the expression "the silent speaker" ...

    I really dislike the punctuation, there is too much.
    The message is very good, harmony and wisdom are not found in teachers and books; we must look within. I like the form you have used, with its subtle rhyming.
