Aspersions

seed planted on fertile hearts
grew big
branching out far and wide
lovers took shelter as cute birds

nest in green leaves
cooled the toil
sweet nothings in embrace
dissolved time in-between

life is a joy
perennially flowing
showers fed all around
feelings peaked,
surrounding breeze
a vacuum in their hearts

conflict free
flying together
sitting closer

one bitter moment
callousness  took root in one
which became indifferent,
sweetness turned sour
pricked other bird
nagging and demanding
until they parted.

then on,

sat on different branches
scolding each other
bosom lovers
transformed bitter enemies

I hate it when that happens

This starts with an idyll, which too quickly goes sour. We spend so short a time in sweetness, and are often willing to embitter years afterward with aspersions. I like the fable form for a human story.
