Conversing With Death

Hey! I called out to death,
As he came passing by,
He looked at me in confusion,
Hmmm... I wonder why.

I asked him to kill me,
But he just shook his head,
I screamed out 'Why,
I want to be dead!'

He laughed and said no,
That death had passed me by.
I told him that I couldn't live with my pain,
He said I'd have to try.

Why is it that he wanted me to die,
But now that I'm ready, he doesn't care,
Whatever his intentions are,
I wish that he would share.

I told him 'I'm willing, so just end it',
He said I wouldn't die, not just yet,
Smirking, I held a knife above my heart and said,
'Wanna bet?'

Tauntuing death...if you can't plead with it, why not.
    The endinging is morbidly hilarious.
