i know why...
you wanted to protect me from the pain,
you wanted to keep me safe.
you wanted me hold on
to what was there,
but you left without
a goodbye...
you gave me your heart,
you gave me your love,
and you left...
i know you didn't want
it to end the way it did,
yet, what choice did we have?
you left, not of your own
free will,
it was your time to walk
with the angels,
so, you left without
a goodbye...
and so I cry,
wishing i could hear you
just one more time...
