Future Told

unbearable moments
seeing pictures not yet painted
stories not yet told
unstoppable future
inevitable pain

i see it

faintly at first
blurry... like the world
when you first wake
but getting clearer
as it gets closer
pictures painfully vibrant
and i know...

i cannot stop it

i walk a path i
cannot turn from
and know what
lies beyond the
trees

i see it
it is coming...

no...

it is here

    I enjoyed this very much...

Although...I believe we shape our own "destiny"
Thanks for sharing your talent...I am not fond of not capping "i" but it will not change my score...I know some people do that just as they cap each line..
Best wishes in the contest and always!

deeply engaging poem, it had my attention the whole way through on more than one read. clever use of the chosen word prompt, true of life when you have a strong sense something is about to happen - you can see the events leading up to it clearly and almost in slow motion replay style.
