Drifting
gusts of fall scents
sway throughout my insides
Sunrays chilled against windows pane
searching
~*~
Staring
ahead morn takes
moments away from dreams
once spoken yet cast shadows through
my eyes
~*~
Yellow
grain ferments on
dusty blades sewn atop fields
now broken bounties foreclosed tossed
aside
~*~
How do
you slumber past
heavens gate while children
suffer your wrath causing earth's face
to die
~*~
Hungry
they gather loose
bridles torn from mans plow
your desert promise spoiled heathens
manna

RULES:
The top five spots will move on to round two, where rules get sticky-er -
This first round is for the most unique theme I've ever seen -
Now...I will have to let you know, if you don't know me....I DO NOT consider love an uncommon theme...unless you write about love between say,
an octopus and giraffe (just haven't read one like that yet)
Also, religion and politics...no matter how far out will also not be considered uncommon...I don't usually DQ entries -
But, for this round of contests...I am reserving that right for anyone who just can't read, or comprehend -
So with that said...let the game begin!!
Rules:
Reg rules apply
label if adult
Please give me the most out of the box, uncommon write you can...reserve if you wish...points will go up as game goes
on -
Poetic devices are your friend...as well as spell check...
use them both please!
Also:
If I find infractions...I like to im the person and let them have time to edit...so if you want to win...
PLEASE PUT YOUR USERNAME IN THE AN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also just 'cause I want serious people...
...also put your favorite color in the notes -
HAVE FUN!!

Cinquain Crown
Syllable Count:
2-4-6-8-2
2-4-6-8-2
2-4-6-8-2
2-4-6-8-2
2-4-6-8-2
2-4-6-8-2
However, I have taken this Crown one step further;
Each 2 Syll L must connect with next 2 Syll L in thought -
In other words, as if there was no new Cinquain beginning -
The last Cinquain wraps back up to first Cinquain in one thought -
The Title is created from First & Last words used in Cinquain Crown -
THEME:
Thoughts of a dying wheatfield amongst a drought-driven season of Summer -
