I realized I loved you more than you ever loved me
And the only thing I could do was to set you free
If I must I will continue to live without you in my life
So be it I am determined to do what is only right
"Silently she waits for closure," yet there is none
For it’s to late and the deed cannot be undone
Dejectedly she stands, tears falling like torrential rain
As she wallows broken and dishearten in unspoken pain
It’s much too late to take back words once they have been said
Somberly she questions just how her love had became so dead
She gave to him everything she had and even so much more
He acted as if being with her was just another unwanted chore
Someone once said “If you love it then you have to let it go”
If they love you they’ll come back; and she found this not to be so
So she weeps for a love that will never again be
For the man she sent away so that he could be happy
