Vapid and Dead

your lifeless expression:
all color escaped
out an open hatch
through your brain.

pallid and dry,
your eyes say nothing.
you don't even cry.

your lifeless words:
all excitement exchanged
for a dull, witless
blade in your brain.

stiff and rotting sin,
your rigor mortis
has begun to set in.

your lifeless soul:
disappeared from my sight.
where did you go
so far from the light?

wordless and unspoken,
still I think
you are not forgotten.
