is a sad tale, aarrr that be true; me lost
me leg to a slimy bilge rat named Rat.
And me eye to a alley cat. Cap`n Snappy
threw me leg in the chum-bucket and
carved me a new one, even gave me a
cap`n hat, bless his urchin infested heart.
As for me eye, it be in the belly of a cat.
When the alley cats start a laugh`n,
that be when me board me ship again,
o` the shame... Someday I be a catch`n
that rat. And when me do me will gnaw
his leg clean off, then me be throw`n
him to the alley cats, aarrr, ya me will.
Then when the feast is a done me be
catch`n a alley cat with three eyes.
