Lamentation

It’s like a moth that dreamed of being a butterfly
So it flew forever towards the sun
I feel like that creature about to die
Even though it never thought it’s time would come

It’s like a child that only wanted to play
But was forced to suffer to survive
That child was innocent and saw himself decay
So together we can never say he was alive

There is no soul there is no heart
Compassion was lost long ago by god
We try to create but cannot start
There is no love there is no peace
Dreams were lost long ago by Lucifer
We want to breathe but are denied every release

It’s like a flower that bloomed when the autumn came
No chance to be loved under cold stars
I know how it feels to wither under ice and rain
Unable to feel even vicious scars

It’s like girl that left for dead so many times
So beautiful but without hope
I see through her smile I know those crimes
We hang in sorrow on the same rope

    wow this is really deep, sad but very, very well written, it's a long piece, but i like those, and it kept my attention throughout, best of luck in the contest

    Loved it from the start to the finish. I absolutely loved the first two stanzas. I like the way you have created interesting phrases and metaphors, similes... everything seems to be so perfect in this write. Of course, I found the write dark but not the "in your face" kind of dark. The rhyme, rhythm, flow and imagery are excellent and so, I loved it more.
